Breakfast Sausage

Ingredients

  • 4 tsp. dried sage leaves
  • 2 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. dried marjoram
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes (add more if you prefer a spicy sausage)
  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil

Instructions

  • In small bowl, mix together the sage, salt, pepper, marjoram, brown sugar, red pepper flakes.
  • Place pork in large bowl and add the spice mixture to it. Mix well with your hands and form sausage into patties. 
  • Add oil into skillet and cook the patties over medium heat for 5-7 minutes per side (depending on the size of the patties) or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.
